Turton,

Are you asserting that the Wahabi deny the existence of angels and satan?

I'm asserting they consider other groups to be polytheistic. That's all. Merely rebutting your sweeping claim of "Gosh! I've never heard of it! It's absurd!" with the hard fact that a major Islamic sect considers all the others polytheistic (or at least having dangerous polytheistic tendencies, like Christianity). Since a major sect considers it so, it cannot be absurd to regard the veneration of saints and spirits as polytheistic. Nor can it be absurd to see Christianity as polytheistic, since other religions see it so, and many independent observers.

Now, back to the question that vexed us before:

Is, or is not, Xtianity's rise accounted for by mundane reasons listed throughout this thread, or is there some special divine unnatural thing about it? Make an argument, or bail.

Still bailing, I guess.

Michael

Actually, I think the most absurd statement made was yours that Christians worship Satan.

Independent observers establish the truth of something? That sounds like multiple attestation.

As for bailing, this is Nomad's horse and he has raced it well. He and I don't necessarily see eye to eye on it, but he can respond to your question and I expect he will.

Gosh, you're still smarting from that, aren't you? That's the second time today you've referred to it.

As for bailing, this is Nomad's horse and he has raced it well.

Nomad has been crushed, flatten, baked, laminated and posted on the wall at the SecWeb in this thread. So far he has made no positive assertions that were not decisively refuted (I'm still laughing about the recent entry of Christianity to India), and he has consistently avoided posting any argument, theory, or hypothesis regarding Xtian spread in Europe/World.

So let's ask again, since he has hinted again and again throughout this thread:

Is, or is not, Xtianity's rise accounted for by mundane reasons listed throughout this thread, or is there some special divine unnatural thing about it? Make an argument, or bail.

Layman: HE SHOOTS HE SCORES!!!!!

Thanks.

Layman: Awesome comback Rodahi!!!

Thanks, again.

Layman: Devastating and on target.

Wow! Thanks, again and again.

Layman: Way to defend your position that Jews, Christians, and Mulsims are actually polytheists who believe that satan is a SUPREME BEING, along with the other SUPREME BEING angels.

Sheesh, Layman. You are too kind.

Nomad: Oops. You still didn't answer my question rodahi. You claimed to be a Christian once. If you were, surely your church had a position on the subject. So, do you have an answer or not?

(EXTREMELY serious) You are so silly, Nomad.

Layman: He claims to have been to church?

Wow! Far out, huh?

Layman: I am curious too. Which church did you go to that taught that Satan was a supreme being? Or that angels were supreme beings?

You don't seem to understand much of anything, Layman. Why should I answer any of your questions?

Layman: Given that the respected Rodahi is also the MODERATOR of this board (no experience necessary?), I don't give these posts much of a shelf life.

I don't claim to be "respected" anywhere, Layman. However, I think that reasonable, intelligent, and highly-perceptive people might have less respect for you after reading a bit of your "commentary."

Furthermore, I don't think anybody gives a flying fuck about what your opinion is with respect to these "posts."

Whatever.

I already know you will not answer the question, but I want to make sure the lurkers are seeing this, so here it is again.

Same point as above, and last time I checked, once Christianity came to dominate a region,
god-kings became pretty much passe. Heck, I would even think your average every day atheist
would think that this was a good thing.

I am new to the boards but i couldnt help but notice the obvious flaw of this argument. It is so apparently circular. There can be no god king of a christian dominated country. If there was one the country would not be christian dominated.

So it is perfectly natural that by definition there are no god kings in christian dominated countries.

The rest of your argument in that message (not quoted appears on the first page) is also very weakened when confined to christian dominated regions.

What a howler, Nomad. LOL.

Are you dense, or what? LOL! (Rolling eyes and sighing out loud). You are starting to sound like a fundamentalist, Nomad. Stop being so silly and wasting my time.

Nomad, surely you have gotten the point by now. If you haven't, you will in a few more posts.
